A lot of students at Nicholas County High School are upset with the new blocking out rules due to semester exams. Senior Ike Boone says “I don’t think it’s fair for kids who make good grades and have good attendance to take semester exams just for blocking out.”
Students are concerned because they block out with good grades and attendance but still have to take semester exams, whereas kids who don’t block out that are barley passing and have absences can still get exempt. The new rules have been in effect since the beginning of the school year.
