NCHS Students Serves as Pages for the Delegates

By: Hannah Tucker & Adrienne Bounds

On Wednesday, January 15, three Nicholas County High School students, senior Adrienne Bounds and Makayla Garcia, junior Talynda Ferguson, along with 10 other students from various counties in West Virginia, were involved.

During this session, our students were able to do tasks such as running the bills to different Delegates, run errands and even get drinks and snacks for the Delegates. The students were able to learn how bills are passed, how the delegates communicate, and how the whole process of the sessions work.

Delegate Caleb Hanna, a former student from Richwood High School in Nicholas County, sponsored Nicholas County High School to have pages this year. A special thanks to him is being sent out. It was an honor for our students to be involved in this opportunity and be recognized by our state.
