College Application and Exploration Week is a one-week program that is funded by the College Foundation of West Virginia. This is a statewide event that helps raise awareness for applying to colleges. There were some colleges that sent representatives to Nicholas County High School including New River Community and Technical College and West Virginia Wesleyan College.
During this week, a group of students took a tour of Marshall University and BridgeValley Community and Technical College. Mrs. Knight, the global counselor, stated, “Students enjoyed college week, especially the seniors and juniors that went on the college campus tours.” She also added, “College week is not only for upperclassmen, but for everyone from all grade levels, all the way from kindergarten to seniors.”
