The West Virginia Invests Program can provide students with a free two-year college tuition. There are over 30 programs of study that the Invests Program covers, including both certificate and degree programs.
To qualify for the WV Invests Program, you must be a West Virginia resident, have graduated from a public, private, or homeschool program or have successfully passed a high school equivalency exam, have never earned an Associate’s Degree or higher, and be able to pass a drug screening. Whether you’re a recent high school graduate wanting to continue your education or a working adult in search of a new career, WV Invests will help you pay for college.
Nicholas County High School’s counselor, Mrs. Dorsey, believes you should take advantage of the Invests Program. “I recommend the Invests Program to students because it saves money, and the program fields are in job areas that are needed,” she explained.
