This year, Nicholas County High School started a new program called Robotics. Robotics is taught fifth period by Mr. Neil. The class is open to anyone at NCHS.
Robotics deals with creating and programming software and hardware to create something that will perform the actions they want it to do. NASA loaned equipment to NCHS to get the program started. Since the program is through NASA, Mr. Neil had to have special training. He said, “the day was long but was good.”
The Robotics class seems to be a good thing, as it teaches the students how to work with software and hardware. The program will be up as long as NASA lets the school borrow the equipment.
