A lot of talk has been going around at Nicholas County High School concerning the lunch kids are provided with. Many students say the lunches are small in portions and do not fill them up. Some kids don’t have much outside of school, meaning sometimes school lunch is the only time they’ll get to eat.
Cook Wanda Komorowski said she thinks the students get a good portion of food. When asked what she would change about the lunch system, she said she would change the time of second lunch because kids weren’t having enough time to eat.
Head cook for 18 years now, Lynn Gregory, said the students are getting fed well. When asked what’s one thing she would change about the lunch system, she replied by saying that second lunch needs to be a little bit longer so kids can have more time to eat.
