The newest addition to Nicholas County sports, the bowling team, is ready to put their practice to the test at their first tournament. The team has been practicing at Pinheads in Oak Hill in preparation for their first match scheduled for October 20.
A member of the Nicholas bowling team, Sophomore Joshua Messer, is excited for the season. He explains, “I’m glad I chose to bowl because I love bowling, and it gives me something fun to do when I’m bored.” His favorite part about bowling is the communication within the team, and he feels that they will go far during the season. They will host a home tournament in Oak Hill and travel to many other tournaments this season.
