A group of seniors and juniors of Nicholas County High School toured Davis & Elkins College on November 1st, 2018. Nineteen students went on the tour with Mrs. Bone and Mrs. Dorsey as chaperones. They left for the tour at 8 a.m. and got back at 3 p.m. Davis & Elkins paid for the tour and provided lunch for the NCHS students. Davis & Elkins is a small, family-like college with around 800 students.
Senior Alex Morton was one of the students who toured the university. One of the things that caught her interest was, “Some of the buildings were old, but they were really pretty.” She also mentioned that the food was delicious. “Better than Subway,” she said. The tour, in her words was, “very informative, and the university gave students a bag of pens and things.”
