The NCHS Grizzlies football team raised over $9000 for new equipment and uniforms.
Head football coach, Gene Morris, picked out the colors and Gibson Milburn and Justin Hill designed them. “The old uniforms were getting ripped and too stained,” said athletic director Gibson Milburn.
The team got the new jerseys around mid-July from Adidas and Spartan. “They all love them. They wanted tight ones to look better,” said Milburn.
The old jerseys were ripping too easily. They kept the old jerseys for 4 years. With the discount card fundraiser, they also got new helmets and shoulder pads from BSN.
“These jerseys are really nice,” said football player Kyle Groves. “With them being tight, we don’t have to worry about tucking them in every play. Also, I think we look pretty sharp with them.”
