Bryce Taws Accepted into NYLF

By Andrew Cook:

Nicholas County High School – Bryce Taws was nominated and accepted into the National Youth Leadership Forum for Engineering and Technology.  Bryce Taws is a freshman who decided at the beginning of the second semester that he wanted to attend this camp.

Bryce sought out Mrs. Murphy after his brother, Gracin Young, informed him that she was looking to nominate students for the program.  She ended up nominating several students – Bryce, along with Amanda Ward and Nathaniel Hall were accepted into the program, but Bryce is the only one so far who has committed to attend.

During this forum, Bryce will attend the Georgia Institute of Technology for eight days in June 2018 because he wants to further his knowledge and insight into the complex processes of engineering.   Bryce hopes to become an Aerospace Engineer someday.

“I am thrilled to figure out how to build a helicopter,” said Bryce.
